In fact, he is the person behind the fatal shooting in Borderline Bar, Thousand Oaks. The incident happened on November 7, 2018, around 12 people lost their lives.

Long’s close friend told that he visited Borderline with him frequently. Though, Ian drank alcohol frequently and did not have control over him.

His friends would drag him out of the restaurant. Another friend, Todd Stratton knew from High School days. He did not believe his friend is a shooter. Moreover, the 28-year-old detained from the navy in 2018. He died after shooting himself with the gun near the nightclub.

 

This navy officer was born on 27th of March 1990 in Thousand Oaks (California, USA). Therefore, Ian David Long’s age is twenty-eight, (28) years old. In fact, he lived with his mother in Newbury Park. Furthermore, he dropped out from Bsc in Athletic Training in California State University.

He joined as the gunman in the marines as per the records of Defense Department. Later on, he served in Afghanistan for two years from 2010 to 2011. Thomas Burke is a pastor worked along with him. From his high school, he suffered from severe anger issues.

He also involved in the fights with the US Marine Corps Regiment. Additionally, he lived in a marine unit of Hawaii in 2009. During that time, he married to the native of Honolulu. However, his marriage ended in 2013. He headed towards Southern California.

 

Ian suffered from the trauma during the war.After that, he learned the machine gun infantry and went to Okinawa, Japan.He lived there for more than four years.Now, the fatal shooting by Ian connected to his trauma.The police officer told about his mental illness.

In fact, he also detained from the navy as the gunman.Furthermore, the legally purchased handgun used to kill the people of the Thousand Oaks.He has killed himself with the gun and his dead body located outside the bar.
