Basically, this novel is based on the life story of chess player “Beth Harmon”. In October 2020, Netflix Original described the same true story of Beth Harmon through an online web series[1]Netflix named The Queen’s Gambit (2020).

As per the sources, The Queen’s Gambit follows chess wonder Beth Harmon’s life from her youth in an orphanage through her battles with sedative and liquor dependence on her victorious ascent through the Grandmaster positions. Beth Harmon was born as Elizabeth Harmon to her parents on November 2, 1948 (Tuesday) in Winchester, Kentucky, United States. According to the media sources, her biological parents are “Alice Harmon” (mother) and “Paul” (father).
