According to the media sources, the 28-year-old actress committed suicide in a room at the Nazarathpettai hotel in Chennai. As per the statement of her fiance “Hemanth Ravi” (Businessman), Chitra went to take shower after returning from the shoot around 2:30 am. After a long time, when Chitra did not come out of the bathroom, Ravi sought help from the hotel staff.
